Bust Measurement

  1. Stand in front of a mirror with your arms at your sides and your back straight.
  2. Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your bust, which is usually across the nipples. Make sure the tape is straight and not twisted.
  3. Hold the tape snugly, but not too tight. Look straight ahead in the mirror and check that the tape is level across your back and front.
  4. Make a note of the measurement.

Waist Measurement

  • Stand with your back straight and your feet together. Locate your natural waistline, which is the narrowest part of your torso. It's usually located just above your belly button, but if you're having trouble finding it, bend to one side, and note where your torso creases.
  • Wrap the measuring tape around your waist. Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight and check that the tape is level across your back and front.
  • Make a note of the measurement.

Hip Measurement

  • Stand up straight and place your feet together.Locate the widest part of your hips, which is usually around the hip bone.
  • Wrap the measuring tape around the widest part of your hips, making sure the tape is straight and level all the way around.
  • Ensure the tape is snug but not too tight, and make sure it's parallel to the ground.
  • Look in the mirror to check that the tape is level across your back and front.
  • Take note of the measurement.

Shoulder Measurement

  • Find your acromion bones (just above your shoulders), relax and stand tall with arms hanging.
  • Measure the distance from left to right with a friend, keeping the tape straight across the back.
  • Make a note of the measurement.
  • No friend available? Measure a shirt that fits instead.

Arm Length Measurement

  1. Stand up straight and bend your elbow at a 90-degree angle and place your hand on your hip.
  2. Measure the distance from the shoulder bone to your elbow.
  3. Then, measure from your elbow down to your wrist bone.Make sure the measuring tape is straight and not twisted.
  4. Note down the measurement.

Wrist Measurement

  1. Hold out your hand with your palm facing up.
  2. Wrap the measuring tape around your wrist, just below the base of your hand where your wrist bone is located.
  3. The measuring tape should be snug but not too tight or loose.
  4. Take note of the measurement.

Trousers

Leg Length Measurement

  1. Starting from the point on your waist that you measured earlier, measure down to just above your ankle. It's best to have someone assist you with this measurement if possible.
  2. If you don't have someone to help you, measure the outseam of a pair of pants you love the fit of.

Inseam measurement

  1. Place the measuring tape at the top of your inner thigh, where your leg meets your groin.
  2. Measure down the inside of your leg until you reach the bottom of your ankle bone.
  3. If you don't have someone to help you, measure the outseam of a pair of pants you love the fit of.

Upper Arm Measurement

  1. Relax your arm and let it hang down by your side.Bend your arm slightly at the elbow to create a natural curve.
  2. Locate and measure the widest part of your upper arm, which is usually near the shoulder.
  3. Make sure the measuring tape is snug but not too tight.
  4. Take note of the measurement in inches or centimeters.

Height Measurement

  1. Stand barefeet against a wall with your back straight, your shoulders relaxed, and your feet together.
  2. Have someone place a flat object (such as a ruler or book) on top of your head.
  3. Make a small mark on the wall at the bottom of the flat object.
  4. Measure the distance from the floor to the mark on the wall.
